Job summary

WWBT-TV in Richmond, VA (Gray Media) seeks a Technical Media Producer to blend directing a live newscast with master control operations in a fast-paced, 24/7 television environment. This temporary role may become permanent.

Responsibilities include directing live newscasts using Ross Overdrive, operating robotic studio cameras, and handling playback, ingestion and FCC compliance for programming and commercials. 3–5 years of live TV experience required; weekend/holiday shifts expected.

Qualifications

• 3 years of television experience in Master Control Operations or Directing.
• Experience directing live newscasts and operating cameras in a fast-paced live TV environment.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays, with strong communication skills.

Salary/Wage:

$21.87 - $22.38/hr.

WWBT in Richmond, VA is seeking a Technical Media Producer to combine the roles of a traditional newscast director and master control operator in a fast-paced, 24/7 live television environment. THIS TEMPORARY POSITION HAS THE POSSIBILITY OF BEING PERMANENT.

Key responsibilities include directing live newscasts using Ross Overdrive, operating robotic studio cameras, and managing the playback, ingestion, and FCC compliance of programming and commercial content. Successful candidates should have three to five years of experience in live television switching, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Switching live tv experience
• Master Control experience
• Directing newscasts
• Robotic studio camera operation

Qualifications/Requirements:
