Job summary

ASRC Federal Field Services, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal Holding Company, seeks a Lab 101 Manager at Plum Island, NY. The role oversees 24/7 operations, maintenance, and utility services for a decommissioning laboratory facility, ensuring safety and compliance with biohazard and OSHA guidelines.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 7–9 years in related work, with expertise in building automation, CMMS, and utility distribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 7–9 years’ experience in a related field.
• Experience with building automation / management systems (BMS/BAS), Siemens or equal.
• Experience with implementing a reliability centered maintenance (RCM) program.
• Experience with central utilities and distribution, including high pressure steam, condensate, chilled water, medium and low voltage electricity.
• OSHA 10 Hour General Industry Certification
• OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Certification

Responsibilities

• Manages 24/7 O&M functions at a decommissioning research laboratory facility.
• Schedules and directs daily work activities of maintenance teams and trades people.
• Directs maintenance and utility services and supports facility upgrades.
• Plans, organizes and manages the work of subordinate staff.
• Ensures compliance with lab processes and OSHA requirements.
• Monitors and forecasts O&M needs and cost-effectiveness of programs.
