Job summary

ASRC Federal Field Services is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for the Plum Island Animal Disease Research Center in Plum Island, NY. You will lead electrical projects across research laboratories and utility plants, delivering design, testing, and implementation of systems to meet safety, performance, and cost targets.

You will apply regulatory knowledge and use AutoCAD for drawings, manage budgets, and coordinate with Facilities staff to ensure biosafety and compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering required.
• 5–7 years of related electrical utilities experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA, Local, State & Federal policies and fire codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects independently and with other professionals.
• Design, test, and evaluate electrical components and systems.
• Provide technical input for special projects under O&M contracts.
• Develop cost estimates and project execution plans.
• Review drawings for compliance with engineering standards.
