Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Computer Operator to monitor enterprise systems and data centers during a night shift. You will triage alerts, document incidents, and coordinate with IT teams to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires a high school diploma and 0–2 years in IT operations, with familiarity in ServiceNow and monitoring tools. This position is based in New Jersey within RWJBarnabas Health IT&S Data Center Operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in IT operations, help desk, or related environment.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure concepts and monitoring systems.
• Ability to follow documented SOPs, runbooks, and workflows.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced IT operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise systems, servers, networks, and data centers.
• Review alerts, triage incidents, and escalate as needed.
• Create and update ServiceNow tickets and operational logs.
• Follow SOPs, runbooks, and escalation procedures.
• Communicate with IT teams, vendors, and leadership during incidents.
• Support incident response activities and shift turnover reports.
