Job summary

Consumers Energy in Michigan is seeking a Supervisor Field Operations to lead a 24/7 team supporting supply chain, warehouse, and materials management across multiple service center locations.

You will drive safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness, ensure HR/compliance, oversee inventory accuracy, collaborate with procurement and engineering, and champion Lean practices to deliver reliable service and customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field with 2+ years relevant experience; OR Associate with 4+ years; OR HS diploma with 6+ years.
• Experience leading a 24/7 operational team in supply chain, warehouse, or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of Lean principles and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Union and Non-Union employees across multiple locations for fleet, facilities, supply chain, warehouse, and materials management.
• Oversee daily operations ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient service delivery.
• Ensure HR-related compliance including training, licensing, CDL, forklift, OSHA, attendance, and medical qualifications.
• Maintain inventory transactions, material movements, and warehouse processes for SOX and accuracy.
• Coordinate procurement activities, vendor relationships, and supplier performance.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and Lean initiatives across operations.
