Job summary

Priority Waste is seeking an Operations Manager to plan, organize, and direct daily field operations across our Michigan facilities. This role will lead frontline teams, optimize route execution, and ensure safety and DOT compliance to uphold service commitments.

You will partner with Maintenance and HR to hire, coach, and retain staff, drive continuous improvement, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of supervisory or management experience leading frontline employees and coordinating daily operations.
• CDL preferred or ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience utilizing routing, dispatch, scheduling, workforce management, or other operational software platforms.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct daily field operations to meet safety, service quality, productivity, and engagement goals.
• Develop and continuously improve processes, systems, and procedures across operations.
• Coordinate operational needs with the Maintenance Team and cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to interview, hire, and retain employees; coach, train, and mentor staff.
• Manage customer issues to ensure service commitments are met and standards are maintained.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT requirements, and monitor overtime and timekeeping.
