Job summary

Vultr is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our global Technical Support team, a central pillar of our platform reliability and customer experience. You will provide advanced technical support for Vultr’s products and infrastructure, mentoring junior team members and supporting enterprise environments.

You’ll work with customers, system administrators, and engineering to diagnose complex issues, coordinate resolution, and contribute to knowledge base documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in enterprise technical support or a similar advanced role.
• Strong experience with Linux systems and CLI troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of troubleshooting methodologies and complex issues.
• Experience with enterprise networking for diagnosing platform-level problems.
• Experience supporting enterprise IaaS or cloud environments.
• Excellent customer service and communication under pressure.
• Able to work independently in a 24/7 operations environment.
• Proficient written and spoken English; GPU service knowledge a plus.
• Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes in an enterprise setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries with technical guidance on Vultr products and services.
• Act as first responder to platform-level alerts, assess impact, troubleshoot, and escalate.
• Lead incident analysis, perform root cause investigations, and propose preventive actions.
• Coordinate with sysadmin, engineering, networking to resolve platform issues.
• Create and maintain internal docs, knowledge base, and procedures.
• Support enterprise environments with performance, availability, and configuration issues.
• Mentor junior team members and serve as SME for support diagnostics.
• Participate in a 24/7 team-based operations schedule.
