Job summary

Trace Systems Inc. seeks a Journeyman Network Engineer to deliver Tier II support for EACN at Scott AFB, IL.

The role requires handling classified and unclassified networks in a 24/7/365 environment, with duties spanning LAN/WAN infrastructure, security tooling, and compliance tasks. The position offers a base salary range of $72,000–$92,000 and comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings, PTO, holidays, and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required (in-scope)
• US Citizenship required by contract
• DoD 8140 qualifications for 441 Network Operations Specialist
• Bachelor's degree or military training in relevant field
• CCNA or equivalent within six months of employment
• DoD IA baseline certification within six months
• Experience with Cisco routing and switching, DISA STIGs
• Able to work 24/7/365 shifts (weekends/holidays)

Responsibilities

• Configure, implement, and support EACN LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot, repair, or replace network equipment and systems.
• Support replacement of end-of-life hardware/software and transitions.
• Review installation progress for accuracy and standards.
• Maintain A2G2 hardware configurations and site requirements.
• Configure and maintain security/monitoring tools (ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Splunk).
• Implement USCYBERCOM/DISA/Air Force task orders and STIGs.
• Validate security changes in test env and report compliance to ISSM.
