Job summary

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) seeks an Addiction Technician or Specialist to join the Withdrawal Management team. The role delivers direct clinical care, conducts intakes and discharges, maintains documentation, counsels clients, coordinates resources and transport, and performs risk assessments in a 30-bed ASAM 3.2 detox setting.

Strong teamwork and independence are valued. Requirements include CPR/First Aid, CAT or CAS credentials depending on level, bilingual Spanish/English

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within six months
• Preferred: Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP)
• Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Preferred: Colorado Driver's License
• Technician: CAT with DORA registration or Bachelor’s with plan to obtain CAT within 18 months
• Specialist: CAS with DORA registration; six months’ work in behavioral health

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients who are intoxicated or experiencing withdrawal symptoms
• Provide guidance, safety, stability, and direction to clients
• Identify emergency signals and respond appropriately
• Document admissions, discharges, inventories, and chart interactions using EHR
• Monitor vital signs and behavior; enter data in EHR; monitor UA/BA tests
• Assist in transporting admitted clients to hospitals or aftercare as needed
• Complete care coordination tasks for assigned role
