Job summary

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) seeks a Shift Coordinator to lead a detox team within a 30-bed ASAM 3.2 center. You’ll supervise 3–6 clinicians per shift, manage intakes, discharges and transfers, and coordinate care with hospitals and law enforcement on site.

The role requires clinical leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy 24/7 environment. Onsite work with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (with CPR/First Aid) or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Required QMAP certification or obtain within 30 days of hire; AMHR provides training.
• Two years of related experience and/or training.
• Shift Coordinator I: CAT active with DORA or Bachelor's with plan to obtain CAT within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead a work group and provide direction daily; give feedback to employees.
• Assist Clinical Manager with resumes and interviews.
• Serve as primary trainer of new staff or designate a senior member for training.
• Assist with scheduling and daily operations of the unit.
• Develop and implement treatment and disposition plans addressing the whole person.
• Participate in crisis and de-escalation interventions as needed.
• Develop and facilitate psychoeducational groups.
• Assist with intake procedures including decontamination and documentation.
• Assist with discharge procedures and case management as needed.
• Conduct one-on-ones to ensure understanding of clients’ self-identified needs.
