Job summary

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) seeks an Addiction Technician or Specialist to deliver direct clinical care within the Withdrawal Management team at our 30-bed detox center in Aurora, CO. The role requires performing intakes and discharges, documenting care, counseling clients, and coordinating resources with hospitals and law enforcement on-site.

The ideal candidate brings strong substance-use counseling skills, teamwork, independence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Preferred: QMAP.
• Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Preferred: Valid Colorado Driver's License with a driving record that meets organizations requirements.

Responsibilities

• Interact with a client population that is actively intoxicated and/or experiencing withdrawal symptoms.
• Provide guidance, safety, stability, and direction to clients.
• Identify emergency signals and situations and react appropriately.
• Perform accurate, legal, timely and ethical documentation, including admissions and discharges, inventories and charting.
