Job summary

NECHV seeks an Operations Manager to lead a 24/7 team, supervise VSSs and VSRs, and ensure service continuity. You will manage staffing, administrative workflows, and incident response, while upholding policies and safety standards established by the Director of Operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of management in a high-volume setting; preferred experience in security or human services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; relevant education and direct management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• At least 3 years of management experience, preferably in operations, customer service, hospitality, human services, security, or a comparable high-volume service environment.
• Demonstrated experience supervising front-line staff, managing schedules, performance management, and maintaining administrative systems and documentation.
• Strong organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain appropriate confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, databases, scheduling/reporting systems, and the ability to learn NECHV administrative platforms including Airtable and Jotform.
• CPR certification and/or CPI training preferred or ability to obtain as required.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment within established policy, recognize matters requiring escalation, and operate effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Veteran status, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise VSSs, VSRs, and assigned contracted security personnel; provide coaching, feedback, training, and daily performance management.
• Develop and maintain Operations staffing schedules and ensure appropriate staffing across shifts.
• Own routine Operations administrative functions including documentation, scheduling, reports, and procurement support.
• Maintain access-control administration including ID badging and key-card activations/deactivations.
• Coordinate administrative workflow for Veteran Review Board matters with Human Services and Director of Operations.
• Ensure occupancy, bed-management, service, and other departmental data are tracked; coordinate moves with stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain confidential records and incident documentation; ensure timely files and SOP adherence.
• Provide onboarding and training support; assist with interviewing and hiring recommendations.
