Job summary

ASM Research, an Accenture Federal Services company, seeks an IT professional to support the Production, Scheduling and Controls Team. The role focuses on enterprise scheduling and monitoring using BMC Control-M, with 24x7 coverage and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize job schedules.

The candidate will monitor IT infrastructure, perform design and planning analyses, and contribute to integration of new technologies while maintaining thorough system documentation and recovery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in information technology, systems administration or other IT related field.
• CompTIA Security+; ability to maintain government clearance or investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services for the Production, Scheduling and Controls Team.
• The Project, Scheduling, and Coordination (PS&C) Team provides job scheduling and monitoring 24x7.
• Perform enterprise scheduling and analysis utilizing BMC Control-M software.
• Monitor and analyze job schedules, consult with functional, programming, and technical staff to optimize schedules.
• Support IT and systems infrastructures.
• Conduct analysis including planning, designing, and evaluating IT tools.
• Respond to triage requests to provide guidance for system needs and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with minimal supervision and escalate complex items.
• Implement standards for computer operations ensuring hardware-software compatibility.
• Run tests on operating systems and related software.
• Schedule, perform, and monitor system backups and data recoveries when necessary.
• Perform root cause analysis and monitoring on production systems.
• Plan and design new platforms, integrate new technologies; evaluate releases.
• Create and maintain system documentation and user guides.
• Review recovery plans to reduce downtime during outages.
• Review problem management log and identify actions.
