Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking an IT Specialist to join the Production, Scheduling and Controls Team. You will support job scheduling and monitoring 24x7, using BMC Control-M, and work with cross-functional staff to optimize schedules across enterprise systems.

The role involves monitoring IT infrastructures, planning and evaluating IT tools, and providing technical guidance for routine issues while escalating complex items as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in information technology, systems administration or other IT related field.
• CompTIA Security+ Ability to maintain government clearance or investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services for the Production, Scheduling and Controls Team.
• Support PS&C team with job scheduling and monitoring functions 24x7.
• Assist in enterprise scheduling and analysis using BMC Control-M.
• Monitor and analyze job schedules; consult with staff to optimize schedules.
• Monitor and support IT systems infrastructures.
• Plan, design and evaluate a variety of IT tools.
• Respond to triage requests to guide system needs and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with minimal supervision and escalate complex items.
• Implement standards for computer operations; ensure hardware/software compatibility.
• Run tests on operating system and related software.
• Schedule, perform, and monitor backups and data recoveries.
• Perform root cause analysis, diagnostics, and monitoring.
• Plan and design new platforms; evaluate new technologies and releases.
• Create and maintain system documentation and user guides.
• Assist with creating recovery plans to reduce downtime during outages.
• Review problem management register and identify actions.
