Job summary

The Broward County Aviation Department at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is seeking an Airport Operations Supervisor-Security. This administrative and supervisory role manages the overall operation of the Security Compliance Division, ensuring safety and security for airport users in a 24/7 environment.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in airport management or related field, four years in airport operations with supervisory experience, and a Florida Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in airport management, business administration or closely related field.
• Four (4) years airport operations work including one (1) year of lead work/supervisory experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E Driver's License for duration of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise personnel responsible for Aviation Security Compliance.
• Perform security inspections, tenant lease compliance, and airport emergency response in a 24/7 environment.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (49 CFR 1520, 1540, 1542; TSA directives).
• Develop and implement training, exercises, plans, procedures, and policies for Airport Security Operations.
