The Broward County Aviation Department is seeking an Airport Operations Supervisor-Security for Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. This role oversees the Security Compliance Division to maintain safety and security for airport property, employees, visitors and passengers in a 24/7 environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in airport management or related field, four years of airport operations experience with at least one year in a lead/supervisory position, and a valid

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in airport management, business administration or closely related field.
• Four years of airport operations experience, including one year in lead/supervisory role.
• Florida Class E Driver's License required.
• May require overtime and rotational shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Aufgaben

• Supervise personnel responsible for Aviation Security Compliance.
• Perform security inspections, tenant lease compliance, and airport emergency response in a 24/7 environment.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including 49 CFR 1520, 1540, and 1542, and TSA directives.
• Develop and implement training, exercises, plans, procedures, and policies for Airport Security Operations.
• Stand/walk up to seven hours per shift and access remote airport areas as needed.
• Respond to airport emergencies and coordinate with emergency services and agencies.
• Maintain ability to pass extensive security checks and obtain/maintain SIDA access.
