Job summary

The George Washington University Hospital is seeking an experienced leader to oversee the Admitting Department's 24/7 operations and strategic planning. This role drives patient access workflows, ensuring timely admissions and efficient throughput across the hospital.

We value a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in acute care, a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), and strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to enhance patient experience and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years progressive experience as a supervisor of patient access in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Has 24-hour 7 day a week responsibility for the operational management and strategic planning of Admitting Department.
• Oversee patient access workflows to ensure timely admissions and efficient throughput.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to improve patient flow and onboarding processes.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the admitting team to maintain high service levels.
