Job summary

Fusion HCR is seeking an experienced Admitting-Discharge Manager to oversee Patient Access Services including Admitting, Discharge, Referrals, Authorizations, and Scheduling. You will lead supervisors, optimize workflows, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive high-quality patient access operations within a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates will have extensive Admitting/Discharge leadership experience, proficiency with EPIC and Kronos, and the ability to manage multiple teams, including night

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of Admitting/Discharge supervisory experience in a hospital or physician office setting.
• Experience with scheduling, referrals, and patient access operations.
• Prior experience in a salaried (FLSA-exempt) leadership role.
• 1+ year Emergency Department experience
• 1+ year Main Admitting experience
• Experience managing multiple schedules and teams
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Admitting-Discharge Manager to oversee Patient Access Services (PAS), including Admitting, Discharge, Referrals, Authorizations, and Scheduling. This role is responsible for leading teams, improving processes, ensuring compliance, and driving high-quality patient access operations in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Admitting, Discharge, Referrals, Authorizations, and Scheduling
• Manage and support Admitting/Discharge Supervisors and staff
• Resolve insurance, billing, and coding-related issues
• Address and resolve patient complaints professionally and efficiently
• Develop and monitor policies, procedures, and quality assurance practices
• Track and report on KPIs and operational performance metrics
• Serve as a liaison between departments to improve workflow and communication

Requirements

Education & Experience

Additional Requirements

• 1+ year Emergency Department experience (Trauma, Adult, and/or Pediatrics)
• 1+ year Main Admitting experience (hospital, ASU, or outpatient departments)
• Experience managing multiple schedules and teams
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
