Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required; experience with computers preferred.
• Must be available for night shifts, holidays, and weekends.
• U.S. citizen and Iowa resident or intend to become resident.

Responsibilities

• Answer 911 and routine calls, dispatch first responders via CAD and radio.
• Enter information into CAD, coordinate with agencies during events.
• Monitor multiple radio channels and maintain calm under pressure.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions and maintain confidentiality.
