Job summary

BlueGreen Alliance Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Agent / Lead to safeguard assets and deter theft across our retail operations.

The role reports to the Area LP Manager and involves enforcing prevention guidelines on the sales floor and coordinating with management to maintain a safe shopping environment. The candidate should have at least 1 year of LP or law enforcement experience, a High School diploma, and any applicable state certifications.

Responsibilities

• Apprehension of shoplifters / recovery of Company assets, as set forth in Company apprehension guidelines.
• Prevention of shoplifting incidents / recovery of Company assets, as set forth in Company prevention guidelines.
• Audit compliance of external loss prevention standards.
• Identify external exposures and recommend solutions.
• Report all observed / suspected exposures pertaining to internal theft.
• Participate in the Shrinkage Committee and promote shrinkage awareness.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Direct Report: Area LP Manager (ALPM) District LP Manager (DLPM)

1. Minimum Educational Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent.

2. Minimum experience:

1 year of retail loss prevention or law enforcement experience required.

State certification required, where applicable.

3. Physical requirements:

Must be able to stand and walk sales floor for 8 hours at a time.

Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs.(Minimum)

Must be available to work nights, weekends and rotating shifts.

Must be able to follow directions and be able to communicate clearly both verbally

and in writing.

Reduction of External Exposures and Losses- 80%

Apprehension of shoplifters / recovery of Company assets, as set forth in Company

apprehension guidelines.

Prevention of shoplifting incidents / recovery of Company assets, as set forth in

Company prevention guidelines.

Audit compliance of external loss prevention standards.

Identify external exposures and recommend solutions.

Report all observed / suspected exposures pertaining to internal theft.

Training and Awareness- 10%

Serve as a member of “The Shrinkage Committee”

Participate in the promotion of shrinkage awareness of all associates.

Create an environment of “ownership” among all associates.

Operations and Safety- 10%

Complete reports and assigned duties in a timely manner.

Assist management to maintain operational compliance.

Ensure a safe working and shopping environment.

Report all violations of operational standards to store management and immediate

supervisor.

In addition to this position you are expected to perform all tasks and functions

assigned by management as requested to meet the needs of the business.
