Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to work with the Sr. Area Loss Prevention Manager, Ross Investigative & Safety Center and store leadership to mitigate external theft and fraud while coordinating with law enforcement to resolve incidents.
The role focuses on monitoring store activity, identifying theft indicators, maintaining a safe environment, and building strong partnerships with local law enforcement and cross-functional teams across the organization.
The Loss Prevention Specialist works in partnership with the Sr. Area Loss Prevention Manager, Ross Investigative & Safety Center and store leadership team to mitigate external theft and fraud in stores by providing service to customers demonstrating the intent to cause loss or commit fraud and coordinating with law enforcement to resolve external theft incidents and trespass known theft subjects from stores.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environmentAbility to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners including law enforcementStrong writtenand oral communication skillsDemonstrated ability to build and maintain working relationships with associates at all levels of the organizationExcellent customer service skillsDemonstrated ability to effectively problem solve with the proper sense of urgencyMust be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing as requiredAbility to make quality judgment in little to no response timeExperience in Loss prevention, security, or retail preferredCandidates with current and valid security guard registration card preferredSuccessful completion of Loss Prevention Specialist training, as applicable, can act as an advantage
High School diploma or equivalent education; Four-year degree or equivalent preferred
