Job summary

Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA in Williamsburg, VA are seeking a Summer Leadership Intern for the 2027 season. This part-time role offers hands-on exposure to park operations, seminars across departments, and a chance to present real-world recommendations to senior leadership.

You will supervise daily activities, help train ambassadors, monitor safety and service standards, schedule staff, and assist park leadership with projects while engaging thousands of guests daily.

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a college degree.
• Commit to working through the 2027 peak operating season (mid-May – mid-August).
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent human relations and communication skills; leadership or theme park experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily activities at all assigned locations.
• Monitor locations to ensure safety, five-star service and cleanliness.
• Assist with training of new Ambassadors and ensure proper training documentation.
• Maintain safety standards for Ambassadors and guests.
• Coordinate daily assignments for Ambassadors including scheduling and breaks.
• Monitor budgeted labor and location supplies.
• Coach Ambassadors on performance; complete tasks assigned by park leadership.

If you're dedicated, dependable and driven to deliver exceptional guest service, this is a place for you!**What you get to do as a Summer Leadership Intern at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA:** * Attend seminars held by various departments within the park, including Culinary Operations, Finance, Design & Engineering, Human Resources, Marketing, Merchandise, Maintenance/General Services and Park Operations as well as visiting Industry Experts.* Park tours with members of your leadership team* Planned meeting sessions with members of the park’s leadership team* Complete a Team project where groups of Interns will work on a real-world business case and present their findings and recommendations directly to Senior Leadership.* Interns will have the experience of front-line involvement, overseeing a team of employees and providing guidance and direction to their team as they interact with thousands of guests daily **As a Leadership Intern, you'll:** * Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of all assigned locations* Monitor all assigned locations to ensure safety, Five-Star Service, and cleanliness* Assist with the training of new Ambassadors and ensuring they have the proper training documentation* Maintain safety standards for both Ambassadors and guests* Oversee and coordinate daily assignments for all Ambassadors to include employee scheduling, rotation schedules and break schedules* Monitor budgeted labor and location supplies* Coach and counsel Ambassadors on their performance* Complete all tasks assigned by park leadership in a timely mannerTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
