Job summary

LyondellBasell in the United States is seeking an Entry Level Associate Mechanical Engineer to start a career in a cutting-edge industry. You will help ensure plant reliability, provide technical support, and assist in leading large-scale projects across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for employment visa status.

Responsibilities

• Proactively support ideas to improve plant reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Provide engineering support to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement large projects.
• Interface with outside companies for engineering, purchasing of materials, and construction.
• Manage all aspects of a project, including budget and timeline, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree from an accredited university.

Project Engineering

• Maintain responsibility for the project budget and timeline.
