Northrop Grumman is seeking Industrial Security Interns to join the Aeronautics Sector Intern Program. This internship spans multiple US locations including CA, AZ, FL, OK, UT, OH, MS. As an intern you will develop competencies in security-related specialties and gain hands-on experience in data gathering, analysis, and reporting.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program and be eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026.
• Be majoring in homeland security, global conflict, intelligence, criminal justice, political science or related business field.
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Job Description Northrop Grumman is seeking Industrial Security Interns to join the Aeronautics Sector Intern Program. This position will be in San Diego, CA / Palmdale, CA / Sierra Vista, AZ / Saint Augustine, FL / Melbourne, FL / Oklahoma City, OKC / El Segundo, CA / Clearfield, UT / Dayton, OH / Iuka, MS The selected candidate will perform a variety of duties in support of functional areas such as site security, or for a specific project/business/technical unit. As an intern, you’ll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of specializations that may include:

• Gather, collect, record, track and be able to verify data and information from multiple sources.
• Compiles, reviews, and analyzes data.
• Able to use software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence, and presentations.
• May design processes to enhance workflow.
• Provide data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026
• Be majoring in homeland security, global conflict, intelligence, criminal justice, political science or related business field.
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Preferred Qualifications Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25 out of 4.0 or higher Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular). Good presentation and writing/communication skills. Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment. Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups. Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects. Experience in working on projects from inception through launch.

Intern Pay Range Undergraduate degrees (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master’s program): $15.50 - $34.75 per hour Master’s: $22.50 – $43.25 per hour Campusjobs Primary Level Salary Range: $1.00 - $1.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
