Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Industrial Security Interns to join the Aeronautics Sector Intern Program. The role will be based in multiple locations including San Diego, Palmdale, and other sites, supporting site security and specific projects.

You will participate in a summer internship to develop competencies across security-related specializations. The candidate should be enrolled full-time in Fall 2026 and be majoring in homeland security or related fields, with a 3.25 GPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in Fall 2026 (undergraduate or graduate) and be available for Summer 2027
• Majoring in homeland security, global conflict, intelligence, criminal justice, political science or related business field
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Responsibilities

• Gather, collect, record, track and verify data from multiple sources
• Compile, review and analyze data; generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, and presentations
• Use software for data processing and reporting in the assigned functional area
• Design processes to enhance workflow and share data with others in the unit

As an intern, you’ll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of specializations that may include:Roles and ResponsibilitiesGather, collect, record, track and be able to verify data and information from multiple sources. Compiles, reviews, and analyzes data. Able to use software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence, and presentations. May design processes to enhance workflow. Provide data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.Basic Qualifications: A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups. Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects. Experience in working on projects from inception through launch.
