Job summary

Plante Moran, PLLC is seeking interns to support public sector engagements, including cities, counties, states, and school districts. You’ll work on research, analysis, and technology implementation tasks under supervision, with opportunities to build client relationships and participate in business development.

The role emphasizes learning through hands‑on projects, enterprise technology solutions, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in finance, IT, engineering, or related field.
• Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).
• Information Technology (IT) and/or engineering knowledge/experience is a plus.
• Experience utilizing AI tools and effective prompting techniques to support research, analysis, content development, and problem-solving is a plus.
• Some experience with selecting and/or implementing enterprise technology solutions (ERP, EAM, CIS, SIS, etc.) is a plus.

• Handling or creating projects (assisting with research, special analysis requested by Managers, Partners, etc.)
• Advanced technology research and assistance with thought leadership development

• Developing relationships with clients and participating in networking/business development activities
• Traveling to client sites to support vendor software demonstrations, stakeholder interviews, and implementation management efforts

Your role. No busy work here. As an intern, you’ll be treated just like our entry-level staff. You’ll safeguard public sector organizations to optimize and prepare for technology investments. You can look forward to a variety of engagements with cities, counties, states, utility districts, and school districts. These engagements will provide you with the opportunity to interact directly with public sector clients to develop innovation roadmaps and harness the power of technology.

This is a non-exempt position and may require work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week. This position may require some local, national, and occasional international travel.

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $33.00 - $36.00
