About the Position

This posting is not for a specific position. Your application will be placed into an applicant pool for Speech Language Pathologists and may be used to fill current or future positions. Speech-Language Pathologists provide support for students with speech, language, and hearing concerns (ages 3 to 21 years). Services are delivered in individual, small group, in-class support, consultation with classroom and learning support teachers, problem-solving teams, and disability evaluation teams.

Required Qualifications
  • Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate Certificate as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a Washington State Department of Health Speech-Language Pathologist License.

Salary

2025-26 Salary Schedule Range: $83,305 through $148,226 (2026-27 Salary Schedule not yet finalized). Placement on this salary schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying Educational Level and Certificated Work Experience and will be prorated for less than a full year and/or FTE.

Benefits

Benefits package includes Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package for eligible positions. Eligibility for health insurance is based on a minimum of 630 hours per school year and benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Long-term Disability, Life and AD+D Insurance, and options for HSA, FSA and DCAP. Eligibility for retirement requires a minimum of 70 hours per month for 5 months. Supplemental benefits available: Life Insurance, Paid Sick Leave, Paid Personal Leave, Employee Assistance Program, Deferred Compensation Plan, and 403(b) Plans.

Physical Requirements/Demands

The employee is expected to navigate various school and classroom environments, assist students who need physical support or have challenging behaviors, and communicate regularly. Tasks may include frequent manual work using hands or fingers, occasional reaching, bending, twisting, moving objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Visual requirements include performing close-range tasks and adjusting focus as necessary.
