The job of Campus Support is performed to provide support to the instructional process with specific responsibilities for ensuring the safety and welfare of students in a variety of support service areas including noon duty coverage, AM/PM duty coverage, classroom assistance, crosswalk coverage, and other areas as needed on campus.
Location: Desert Cove Elementary School
Duration: 9 months, 0.5 hours per day
Grade: 10, $15.15 per hour

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill‑based competencies include adherence to safety practices and enforcement of rules and regulations.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math; understand written procedures; write routine documents; speak clearly; and understand complex, multi‑step written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge‑based competencies include safety practices and procedures; traffic laws.
ABILITY is required to schedule activities; collate data; and use basic, job‑related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans. Specific ability‑based competencies include displaying tact and courtesy; being attentive to detail; and maintaining confidentiality.
Responsibilities include working under direct supervision using standardized routines; providing information and/or advising others. There is a continual opportunity to impact the organization’s services.
The usual methods of performing the job’s functions require lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling, and fine finger dexterity. The job requires approximately 40% sitting, 30% walking and 30% standing, and may involve temperature extremes and exposure to risk of injury or illness.
Job related experience is desired.
High school diploma or equivalent.
