The Department of Theatre and Dance seeks graduate students for teaching associate appointments. Teaching associates typically provide classroom instruction for various undergraduate courses and may have opportunities to teach additional introductory courses.
Fall 2026: August 21, 2026 – December 23, 2026
Spring 2027: January 21, 2027 – May 29, 2027
Hours/Units per week: up to 20 hours per week. No more than 7.5 units can be assigned per semester.
Degree‑seeking graduate student in the Department of Theatre and Dance. Must be currently enrolled in or admitted to a California State University, Los Angeles graduate degree program.
TAs in acting classes may be required to complete the TVFT 5150 Teacher Training Course and a full semester of observation.
Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary range: $3,245 - $7,598 per month (per salary schedule 7/1/2024). The anticipated monthly hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
