Department of English
The Department of English seeks graduate students as applicants for Teaching Associate. Teaching Associates typically are responsible for providing classroom instruction.
Teaching Associates are hired with conditional appointments based on enrollment and budget with the right to assign TA to the course(s) that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Courses may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.
Hours/Units per week: Students can work up to 20-hours per week; no more than 7.5 units can be assigned per semester.
Degree‑seeking graduate student in the Department of English. Teaching Associates must be currently enrolled in or admitted to a Cal State LA graduate degree program. Applicants should:
Initial salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary Range: $3,245 - $7,598.
Background check, including criminal records, must be satisfactorily completed. Offers are conditional and may be rescinded if disqualifying information is found.
