The Substitute Groundskeeper would assist with maintaining school and activity grounds as needed. Duties may include mowing, trimming, field preparation, cleanup, snow removal, and other general grounds-maintenance tasks
This is an as-needed position.
Starting wage for this position is $17.69/hr.

SUMMARY

The Substitute Groundskeeper provides grounds maintenance support for school and activity grounds on an as-needed basis. Duties may include mowing, trimming, field preparation, cleanup, snow removal, and other general grounds-maintenance tasks. Hours are flexible, vary based on District needs, and are not guaranteed. The position may also assist with custodial or maintenance tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to lift and move 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
• Ability to work a flexible and variable schedule based on District needs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate district vehicles safely.
• Dependable and able to work independently with limited supervision.

• Mow, trim, rake, prune, and maintain school and activity grounds.

• Operate lawn mowers, weed trimmers, blowers, sprayers, snow-removal equipment, and related grounds equipment.
• Assist with seasonal cleanup, debris removal, planting, and other grounds-maintenance projects.
• Inspect equipment before use and report maintenance or repair needs.
• Follow District safety procedures and proper equipment-use requirements.
• Perform other grounds, custodial, or maintenance duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance or designee.
