Job summary

Crescent City Schools is seeking a Floating Substitute to inspire students and staff by embodying the school's mission and values. In this role you will be an active member of the school team, maintain rigorous academic culture in the absence of a teacher, and support classroom culture across the campus.

Qualifications

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
• This is an in-person role

Responsibilities

• Being an active member of the school team by embodying, advocating, and operationalizing the mission and values of the school
• Maintaining rigorous academic culture in the absence of a teacher
• Maintaining positive classroom culture across the school, modeling the use of behavior incentive and discipline systems in the absence of a staff member
• Maintaining positive school culture during critical points of the school day and year – arrival, dismissal, recess, and testing days
• Providing classroom culture support on an as-needed basis
• Taking on other tasks, as needed

Job description

The Floating Substitute inspires students and staff by:
