Lexington-Richland School District Five seeks a Director of Transportation to oversee the planning, organization and management of the district's student transportation program. The role ensures services comply with district, state and federal guidelines and maintains staffing to meet objectives within budget and compliance.

The position requires a South Carolina CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements and a School Bus Driver's Certificate. Office of Operations, on-site in South Carolina.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in transportation management, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Five years of experience in student transportation or fleet management, including experience in an administrative or supervisory role.
• Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements.
• Must possess and maintain a School Bus Driver's Certificate through the South Carolina Department of Education.

Manages, implements, and maintains the assigned programs and ensures services are in conformance with district, state, and federal guidelines; maintains adequate staffing to ensure that objectives of programs/services are achieved with budget and compliance of district's goals.
