Position Title: Director of Transportation

Location: Office of Operations

Pay Scale/Salary Class/Days: Administrative Pay Scale / Grade 37 / 240 Days / 8 Hours Per Day

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in transportation management, business administration, public administration, or a related field. Master's degree in a related field is preferred. Five years of experience in student transportation or fleet management, including experience in an administrative or supervisory role. Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements. Must possess and maintain a School Bus Driver's Certificate through the South Carolina Department of Education.

Description: This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, organization and management of all aspects of the District's student transportation program. Manages, implements, and maintains the assigned programs and ensures services are in conformance with district, state, and federal guidelines; maintains adequate staffing to ensure that objectives of programs/services are achieved with budget and compliance of district's goals. This position is under limited supervision.
