Job summary

The Learning Experience in Ashburn, VA is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher for a 2-year-old classroom. This full-time role offers a starting pay of $20 per hour, with higher pay possible based on experience and credentials.

You will lead daily activities, implement the LEAP curriculum, support development, and collaborate with families and staff to create a nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in childcare, daycare, or preschool settings preferred.
• CDA is preferred but not required.
• Experience with toddlers or two-year-olds strongly preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Patient, dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom routines and learning experiences for young preschool-aged children.
• Implement LEAP Curriculum through hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities.
• Support children's language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development.
• Encourage independence, communication, and emerging self-help skills.
• Use positive guidance to support classroom behavior and transitions.
• Create a safe, organized, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Observe development and communicate with families regularly.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership.
• Follow Virginia childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
