Job summary

The Learning Experience in Ashburn, VA is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher for a 2-year-old classroom. You’ll lead daily routines, implement our L.E.A.P. Curriculum, and create a safe, nurturing environment for toddlers transitioning to preschool.

We’re looking for childcare experience, a HS diploma or GED, and strong classroom management. CDA is a plus. Starting at $20 per hour, full-time Monday–Friday, with benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous professional childcare, daycare, or preschool experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA preferred, but not required.
• Experience with toddlers, two-year-olds, or young preschoolers strongly preferred.
• Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily routines and learning experiences for young preschool-aged children.
• Implement The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum through hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities.
• Support children's language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development.
• Encourage independence, communication, and emerging self-help skills.
• Use positive guidance to support classroom behavior and successful transitions.
• Create a safe, organized, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Observe children's development and communicate regularly with families.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership.
• Follow all Virginia childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
