Job summary

Daifuku North America in Hobart, IN is seeking an experienced Welder for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 5:00am–1:30pm). Must have at least 1 year of welding experience and be able to identify exact measurements on a tape measure.

This is a full‑time position with a comprehensive benefits package. You will join metal parts using high heat to form permanent bonds, read blueprints, set up equipment, and ensure welds meet standards while complying with Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; welding certificate/associates preferred.
• Minimum 1 year welding experience required.
• Excellent reading of blueprints and use of measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment to join metal parts with proper heat and formation.
• Interpret blueprints and planning documents to determine welds.
• Determine welding position and metal type for fusing.
• Set up welding equipment and adjust settings for weld quality.
• Ensure welds meet company standards and specifications and follow QMS policies.
• Support continuous improvement to achieve top industry performance and customer satisfaction.
