Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers in Houston, TX is seeking a Warehouse Selector for 1st shift. You will pick, gather and organize products, preparing orders for delivery to local customers. The role requires standing, lifting up to 60 lbs, and operating pallet-jack equipment with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Shift 1st Shift (United States of America).

Responsibilities

• Pick items using order sheets or an audio headset.
• Stack items on a pallet for loading at the bay doors.
• Ensure accuracy to orders while following safety standards.
• Operate a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases and place on pallet.
• Apply proper wrapping techniques to prevent product damage.
• Inform Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description.
• Perform equipment inspections & complete the appropriate forms.
• Frequent lifting of varying case weights and walking long distances daily.

Position Details & Location:

Please note that this is a 1st shift position located at our Dry Grocery facility off I-45 and Richey Road. This role is exclusive to this location and is not associated with our facility off Highway 288 and Holcombe Boulevard.

Earn $18.00 per hour + Incentive and Attendance pay (once you qualify) FT, 1st shift, 6:00 a.m. until completion, 4 days on / 3 days off, Sunday-Friday

You will contribute by:

• Picking various items by using order sheets or an audio headset
• Stacking items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at the bay doors
• Ensuring accuracy to orders while adhering to our safety standards
• Operating a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases of products from storage rack & place on pallet and apply selection labels to appropriate cases (not in all cases)
• Utilizing proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages
• Informing Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description
• Performing equipment inspections & completion of appropriate form
• Frequent safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
