Job summary

GSC Wholesale LLC in Houston, TX seeks a Warehouse Selector to pick, gather, and organize products for delivery to local customers. You will use order sheets or an audio headset, stack items on pallets, and ensure order accuracy while following safety guidelines.

The role runs 1st shift, 6:00 a.m. start, 4 days on / 3 days off, at the Dry Grocery facility near I-45. Earn $18.00 per hour plus incentives, with paid training and benefits from day 1.

Qualifications

• General educational diploma (GED) or high school diploma.
• Ability to stay active and maintain safety standards throughout the shift.
• Comfort with standing and walking for long periods and lifting items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pick items using order sheets or headset
• Stack items on pallets for loading at bay doors
• Ensure order accuracy and safety compliance
• Operate walkie-rider or pallet jack for selecting and moving products
• Apply proper wrapping to protect products during transport
• Report discrepancies in case quantity or description
• Inspect equipment and complete safety forms
• Frequent lifting of varying weights from floor to overhead

Position Details & Location:

Please note that this is a 1st shift position located at our Dry Grocery facility off I-45 and Richey Road. This role is exclusive to this location and is not associated with our facility off Highway 288 and Holcombe Boulevard.

Job Description

• Earn $18.00 per hour + Incentive and Attendance pay (once you qualify)

• FT, 1st shift, 6:00 a.m. until completion, 4 days on / 3 days off, Sunday-Friday

You will contribute by:

• Picking various items by using order sheets or an audio headset

• Stacking items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at the bay doors

• Ensuring accuracy to orders while adhering to our safety standards

• Operating a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases of products from storage rack & place on pallet and apply selection labels to appropriate cases (not in all cases)

• Utilizing proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages

• Informing Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description

• Performing equipment inspections & completion of appropriate form

• Frequent safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels

• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift

• Walking between 6-12 miles per day on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.

• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more

• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead

• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height

• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
