Job summary

GSC Wholesale LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Warehouse Selector for 2nd shift. You will pick, gather and organize products for delivery to local customers, using order sheets or audio headsets. The role requires standing, walking long distances, and lifting up to 60 lbs or more.

The position offers a cold environment, 2nd shift hours (3:00 p.m.– completion), Sunday through Friday schedule with Fridays as part of a five-on/two-off cycle. Training is paid and benefits start from day one.

Qualifications

• General Equivalency Diploma or higher education completed.
• High School Diploma or General Studies equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Pick items using order sheets or audio headset.
• Stack items on pallets for wrapping and loading at bays.
• Ensure order accuracy while following safety standards.
• Operate walkie-rider or pallet jack to move cases and label as required.
• Use proper wrapping techniques to protect products.
• Notify supervisor of quantity or description discrepancies.
• Complete required equipment inspections and forms.
• Lift varying weights safely throughout shifts.
• Follow all material handling equipment SOPs.

Shift: 2nd Shift

Environment: Frozen & Perishable facility only (cold environment)

Schedule: Sunday through Friday (The facility is closed on Saturdays).

Job Description

• Earn $18 per hour + $1.50 (cooler/freezer premium) + 1.00 shift differential (4:00 p.m.-4:00 a.m.) + Incentive and Attendance Pay (once you qualify)
• FT, 2nd shift, 3:00 p.m. until completion, (Sunday-Friday), 5 days on/2 days off
• Location: 3100 Holcombe Blvd. Houston, Texas 77021

You will contribute by:

• Picking various items by using order sheets or an audio headset
• Stacking items on a pallet for wrapping and loading at the bay doors
• Ensuring accuracy to orders while adhering to our safety standards
• Operating a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove cases of products from storage rack & place on pallet and apply selection labels to appropriate cases (not in all cases)
• Utilizing proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages
• Informing Supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description
• Performing equipment inspections & completion of appropriate form
• Frequent safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
