Job summary

Pete & Gerry’s Organics is seeking a Shipping and Receiving associate to support facility operations, manage inventory, stock eggs, rotate stock, and load/unload trailers. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to ensure smooth operations across the facility.

The role emphasizes adherence to food safety, animal welfare, and continuous improvement, with daily tasks including ticketing, logging, and equipment maintenance. Overtime may be required during startup.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain power equipment certification (electric pallet jack, sit-down/stand-up forklift, reach truck).
• Attention to detail.
• Organizational skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Frequent lifting of 35–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and stocking eggs.
• Rotate stock with older dates in front.
• Load/unload trailers and fill pick tickets with date, time, jack # and initials.
• Maintain daily incoming materials log for eggs, chemicals or materials.
• Ensure trailer inspection forms are completed for each load.
• Keep coolers clean and organized; operate equipment safely.
