Job summary

Pete & Gerry’s Organics is hiring for a Shipping and Receiving role to support facility operations. You will manage inventory, stock eggs, rotate stock, and load/unload trailers while collaborating with teammates to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role emphasizes adherence to food safety procedures, workplace safety, and ongoing equipment maintenance. A high school diploma and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required; overtime may be available during startup phases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain power equipment certification (electric pallet jack, sit-down/stand-up forklift, reach truck).
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong work ethic and good communication.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Frequent lifting and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• On time punctuality and good attendance.
• Rotate inventory with the older dates in front.
• Fill out pick tickets correctly with the date, time, jack # and initials.
• Fill out daily the incoming materials log for eggs, chemicals or materials.
• Fill out trailer inspection forms completely and correctly for each load.
• Keep coolers swept, clean and organized.
• Maintain electric jacks, forklifts, and reach trucks, including charging them daily.
• Comply with all food safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Report any food safety issues to management.
• End of day housekeeping.
• Any other duties as assigned.
