Job summary

Staples, Inc. is hiring for a Warehouse Associate in Coppell, Texas. You may work in one of six areas including bulk/material handling, porter, replenishment, receiving/putaway/returns, returns, and shipping.

You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and turrets with safety as a priority. The role requires 3 months of warehouse experience, English proficiency, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and the stamina to stand and walk most of the shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.
• Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).
• If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; overtime hours will be required based on business need.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
• An ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• You must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• As a warehouse associate you may work in one of the following six areas: Warehouse Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator, Warehouse Porter, Warehouse Replenishment, Warehouse Receiving/Putaway/Returns, Warehouse Returns, Shipping.
• Operate material handling equipment to pick, move, and pack product up to 100 lbs while following safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and report discrepancies or damages.
• Identify and resolve product discrepancies and communicate effectively with teammates.
• Load and unload trucks and prepare pallets for shipping.
• Organize, stack, shrink-wrap, and stage customer orders for trucks.
