Job summary

Anderson Trucking Service, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician Level 3 to inspect, service, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on ATS trailers using industry-standard methods.

Responsibilities include diagnosing brake systems, electrical components, steering, hydraulics, and welding fabricated parts. Candidates should have a two-year AAS in medium/heavy truck diesel or 1–3+ years of related experience, plus DOT and forklift certification or ability to obtain them within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Two year AAS Degree in medium/heavy truck diesel program and/or 1–3 years of related field experience.
• Good working knowledge of DOT regulations and Out of Service parameters for tractors/trailers.
• Good working knowledge of trailer maintenance and diagnostic software.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate all related shop equipment.
• Must be DOT certified and forklift certified or able to become certified within 90 days.
• Good communication skills (written, verbal, listening).
• Basic computer operations.
• Strong problem solving and customer service.
• Able to read installation manuals and manufacturer training.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on incoming and outgoing ATS trailers to ensure safe operation.
• Complete DOT inspections on outgoing trailers.
• Ensure safety procedures and PPE are followed at all times.
• Move tractors and trailers for maintenance.
• Weld and fabricate replacement parts as needed.
• Open repair orders and track parts usage.
• Participate in online OEM training.
• Maintain proficiency across trailer, tire, and basic parts knowledge.
