Job summary

Anderson Trucking Service (ATS) is seeking a Diesel Technician to inspect, service, repair and maintain ATS tractors using ATS and industry-standard methods to keep equipment safe and on the road.

Requirements include a 2-year AAS in diesel technology or equivalent experience, DOT and brake certifications, OSHA tire training, forklift certification and proficiency with diagnostic software; ASE Master T2–T8 within 1 year is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two year AAS Degree in medium/heavy truck diesel program or equivalent experience.
• DOT certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Brake certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• OSHA tire training or ability to obtain within a year.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to read installation manuals and understand manufacturer training.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on company tractors to ensure safe operation.
• Complete DOT inspections on outgoing trucks and verify repairs.
• Repair following ATS procedures and meet productivity standards.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and record parts and work in the system.
• Participate in OEM/ARC training and use diagnostic software.
• Work overtime or on weekends as needed.
