• Control heat treated components from outside suppliers.
• Schedule ordering of tooling components and supplies; assist Tool Room Manager in scheduling.
• Assist Lead hands in troubleshooting die build problems.
• Plan tool room equipment maintenance.
• Assist in quoting, design, troubleshooting and development as required.
• Staff and evaluate tool room employees.
• Resolve issues with other managers (press time, sign off, shared equipment).
• Maintain CAD files and system per company standards.
• Liaise with Production, Engineering and New Build Departments.
• Create CNC surface files when required.
• Perform duties of Tool Room Manager in absence.
• Record daily job numbers and hours on punch card.
• Other duties as required.
• Operate all Tool Room Equipment.
• SPC Skills.

A Leading Automotive Supplier near Jonesville, Michigan needs a 1st Shift Tooling Assembly Supervisor. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise Toolmakers and Apprentices Plan and schedule all tool room jobs as per timeline.
• Control all heat treated components from outside suppliers.
• Schedule ordering of tooling components and supplies Assist Tool Room Manager in product scheduling.
• Assist Lead hands in troubleshooting die build problems.
• Plan tool room equipment maintenance.
• Assist in quoting, design, troubleshooting and development as required.

• CAD / CAM KnowledgeProgressive Die Knowledge is a Must Automotive Metal Stamping Expertise is NeededMust have previous Tool & Die Maker ExperienceGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) skillsPrevious Tool Room Supervision Experience is RequiredA Journeyman's Card or Tool & Die Certificate is Preferred Knowledge of computers and software including Excel, and Word
