Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Tool and Die Maker to work from 1st shift, Monday through Friday, in Valley, Nebraska. You will read blueprints, construct and repair dies and fixtures, and operate CNC mills/lathes.

The role requires welding, heat treating, and precise measurement using micrometers and calipers. You will also program CNC machines, interpret CAD drawings, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and 3+ years related work experience or 7+ years in the field.
• Experience reading blueprints or process sheets.
• Experience with heat treatments of ferrous material through hardening and surface hardening.

Responsibilities

• Heat treatment of ferrous materials through hardening and surface hardening.
• Design, construct, and troubleshoot dies, fixtures, tooling and mechanical components.
• Program and operate CNC mills and lathes; read prints and perform trigonometry.
