Job summary

Donaldson's TIG Welder role in Dixon, IL, 1st shift (Mon-Thu, 4:00 am–2:00 pm) concentrates on TIG welding using GTAW on required materials. Expect setup to 250 Amp and 32 Volt with 400 IPM wire speed; read blueprints and weld per specifications.

Candidate should have a high school diploma and at least one year of welding experience; preferred certifications include NADCAP Level II Inspector and AMS-STD-1595A. $24.32 hourly rate with incentive plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year welding experience.
• Basic understanding of mathematics related to welding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Reads, assembles, and welds using TIG and GTAW techniques from blueprints.
• Monitors welding process to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion.
• Sets up equipment such as up to 250 Amp, 32 Volt, 400 IPM wire speed; uses 0.045–0.052 wire with 90/10 gas.
