Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Setter for 1st shift in Santa Ana, CA to support rubber part production for aerospace by planning mold changes and setting process parameters. This entry-level role includes thorough training and long-term career potential on 1st shift.

You will perform mold changes, adjust temperatures, cure times, and pressures, and ensure high-quality parts while maintaining safety and housekeeping in a lean aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Previous production or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
• Comfort working with injection molding machines and similar equipment.
• Ability to distinguish item codes and mold differences after training.
• Spanish language skills are welcome; English not required.
• ITAR facility compliance knowledge is a plus.
• Strong work ethic and reliability, including punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Perform and plan mold changes on compression and injection molding machines.
• Set and adjust process parameters to achieve high-quality parts.
• Carry out tool changes and machine setups to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Monitor molding parameters to maintain a stable production process.
• Conduct light maintenance and basic troubleshooting on equipment.
• Address red tags with appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure setup materials are ready for use (loader boards, prep materials, mold release).
• Promote safety and housekeeping in daily tasks.
• Support continuous improvement by reducing scrap and improving setup times.
