Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corp. is seeking a Production Supervisor for 1st Shift in Owatonna, Minnesota. The role oversees direct reports, mentors the team, and drives continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, 5S, and safety practices.

The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5am to 3:30pm with overtime as needed. A base salary ranges from $66k to $80k with bonus potential and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of manufacturing experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new hire training, cross training with direct reports.
• Develop and train employees on Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs).
• Ensure quality products are delivered to customers and processes are followed.
• Be a team player and support Production Supervisors across all shifts.
• Participate in safety committee, audits, and all company objectives related to safety.
• Understand labor efficiency and assist in reaching goals while making good business decisions.
